This Best of Nepal tour is crafted to feel like a continuous story, from incense-filled temple courtyards to quiet lakes and whispering jungles rather than a rushed checklist. Thoughtful pacing, evocative viewpoints and immersive local encounters ensure travellers return not only with photographs, but with memories they will replay for years.

Most “Best of Nepal” circuits use 8 Nights / 9 Days, giving two nights each in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan, plus one night in Nagarkot and a final departure day.
The itinerary typically includes Kathmandu, Patan, Bhaktapur, Nagarkot, Chitwan National Park and Pokhara, covering culture, Himalayas, lakes and wildlife in one route.
The official currency is the Nepalese Rupee (NPR), subdivided into 100 paise. Notes commonly used by travellers include 50, 100, 500 and 1000 NPR.
Indian Rupees are often accepted in many tourist areas and hotels, especially around Kathmandu and Pokhara, but practices can vary. It is safer to carry and primarily use NPR, exchanging money at authorised forex counters or banks.
Exchange rates change, but 1 INR is usually around 1.5–1.7 NPR, and 1 NPR about 0.6–0.7 INR, so 100 INR is roughly 150–170 NPR (indicative only).
Use NPR cash for small shops, entry fees, local eateries and tips.
Credit/debit cards are accepted in many hotels and larger restaurants in Kathmandu and Pokhara, but not everywhere, so cash remains essential.
The classic Nepali meal is Dal Bhat – rice, lentil soup, vegetables, pickles and sometimes meat – often served as an unlimited thali. Popular dishes also include momos, Newari platters, Thukpa and Indian, Tibetan and continental options in main tourist hubs.
Vegetarian food is widely available across cities and tourist areas, with many eateries serving veg Dal Bhat and other pure‑veg options. Strict Jain food is more specialised, so it is best to inform the operator and hotels in advance so arrangements can be planned where feasible.
This tour typically includes daily breakfast at the hotels, while stays in Chitwan usually come with all meals as part of the jungle lodge programme. Lunches and dinners in Kathmandu, Nagarkot and Pokhara are generally on direct payment, giving travellers the freedom to explore local restaurants and cuisines.
The most popular seasons are October–November and March–April, with clear mountain views and pleasant temperatures. Winter can bring crisp, clear days with cooler nights, while monsoon offers lush greenery but more cloud and rain.
